Product tour

Four jobs, shown deep

Not a grid of twenty icons. Here is what the product does across the four things you actually do with it.

One quiz, from the first question to the next-morning report

One product. Four real jobs.

Follow the whole room from the first question to the next-morning report. Every chapter is open, complete and easy to return to.

Write it, or paste what you already wrote

The editor is a list of questions and very little else: a prompt, two to four options, a tick on the right one. Time and points are set per question, so a warm-up round and a tiebreaker can behave differently.

  • Multiple choice or true/false, two to four options, at least one correct.
  • Anywhere from 5 to 120 seconds per question — 20 by default.
  • Already have a set written? Paste it or drop a file. It’s parsed in your browser, so nothing leaves your machine while you’re still editing.
  • The importer flags what it can’t read, line by line, instead of guessing. A messy paste never becomes a silently wrong quiz.
  • Bring your own AI: copy the formatting prompt, run it in whatever assistant you already use, paste the result back. We don’t charge you for tokens because we never spend any.
  • One workspace library your whole organizing team can edit — not five copies in five personal accounts.
Host

The screen at the front of the room

The host screen is the projector. It carries the PIN, the question and a fuse burning down — and it is the only screen in the room that knows the correct answer before the reveal.

  • Players stamp into the lobby as they join. Anyone who picked a nickname you’d rather not project can be removed.
  • Questions close on the server’s clock, or early — the moment every connected player has answered. Nobody waits out a timer for a room that’s already finished.
  • Space advances, Escape pauses. You can run a whole game without going looking for the mouse.
  • Pausing freezes the room mid-question and stops the fuse with it.
  • If your own connection drops, the room waits for you instead of ending.
  • Reveal, then how the room answered, then the leaderboard, then a podium.

The screen that decides whether your event works

Everything else is negotiable; this one isn’t. It is deliberately the smallest thing we ship, because it loads on a hundred phones at once over venue wifi.

  • Six digits and a nickname. No app, no account, no email address.
  • The answer pad is four shapes in a 2×2 grid — circle, triangle, square, diamond. Colour is always paired with a shape, so it reads the same to a colour-blind player.
  • The prompt stays on the big screen rather than the phone. Eyes up.
  • Tapping locks your answer immediately. The first tap is the one that counts; a second changes nothing.
  • The correct answer isn’t in the data your phone receives, so there’s nothing on it to inspect.
  • Lose signal and rejoin: your score is still there.
  • The build fails if the player screen grows past its size budget. That gate is in CI, not on a wishlist.
Report

What you send the next morning

The game ends on a podium. The report is the version you can forward to whoever asked how it went.

  • Final standings, the way the podium showed them.
  • Per question: how much of the room got it right, and how many answered at all.
  • Overall participation, and the fastest correct answer of the night.
  • Export to CSV — standings or the per-question breakdown — when someone wants it in a spreadsheet.
  • Reports stay 90 days on the free plan, and for as long as you keep them on paid plans.

That’s the tour. The rest is your questions.
