Kahoot!
the classroom giant, since 2013
Kahoot! is the reason live quizzes are a category at all. It’s aimed at classrooms and enterprises; KaBooom is aimed at community organizers. Here’s the difference, with their numbers sourced and dated.

If you teach a class, use Kahoot! — genuinely. A decade of classroom features, curriculum-shaped content, LMS integrations and self-paced homework modes are things KaBooom does not have and is not building next. KaBooom is worth your time when your room is bigger than a classroom, your budget is nothing, and the screen should carry your community’s name.
KaBooom scores on the server. Questions close on a server clock, answers are accepted once and only once, and the correct option is not sent to any phone until the reveal — so a second screen or a fast tab-switch gains nothing. That’s an architecture choice, not a setting to turn on.
